YOUNG DEMOCRATS Over two-thirds of Hancock County primary voters between the ages of 18 and 29 opted for Democratic ballots in 2008. The HCDP wants to build upon that interest and the energy of the young voter by creating a Young Democrats organization locally. Steve Montgomery has graciously agreed to take the lead in this organizational effort. Any one between the ages of 18-35 is eligible for membership. Joining Young Democrats is an excellent way to get one’s feet wet in the political process. It is also a means for your voice to be heard in Democratic Party politics.
